Two versions of me, same frame. One is holding a protein bar, walking through what it costs. The other walks in and cuts her off: there's a cheaper option, and it's the roti you're already making.
It's a one-person shoot doing the job of a two-person scene — an internal debate about cost and convenience, staged as a conversation instead of a monologue to camera. Efficient to produce, but the efficiency doesn't show up on screen; it just plays as a smart, self-contained bit.
Concept, the masking/compositing to make both versions of me occupy the same space convincingly, and the edit that keeps the timing tight enough that the reveal actually lands as a reveal. I've used this same split-frame device once more since, in Mother's Day — same technique, opposite register: here it plays as comedy, there as nostalgia.
